NorthFake

Buying an authentic North Face jacket from an online seller can be risky business, but there are plenty of tells that can let you know whether or not you're getting the real deal.

1) Stitching: a real North Face jacket will have straight stitching with no loose threads or uneven lines. The jacket should have a mix of zigzag and straight stitching.
2) Material: the material of the jacket tends to be a fuzzy material while fake jackets will be made of cheap, smooth fleece.
3) Tags: a real North Face will have 3 or 4 tags and at least one tag will match up with the type of jacket you have purchased such as the one above would have a label that says Denali. A fake North Face will usually come with just one red The North Face tag.
4) Seller: message the seller to ask if the jacket is authentic. Most illegitimate sellers on eBay or auction websites will not respond to question like this. The sellers name can also be a tell. Most scammers will have a company name rather than an actual name.
5) Packaging: if your North Face comes in factory packaging you should be weary. If the jacket is coming from the seller it should come in a bag or type of packaging from the seller themselves.
